Mitchells Tapped By Channel Lake To Write New Myrtle Beach Travel Book

Channel Lake, Inc. has contracted Charlie and Liz Mitchell to write a new independent travel guidebook about Myrtle Beach for spring publication in their 2010 Tourist Town Guides travel guidebook series. The New York publisher produces independent travel guides to America’s most popular regional tourist destinations. The Mitchells’ book will be available from Ingram, Baker & Taylor, and at all fine bookstores. Midpoint Trade Books will distribute the book. The Mitchells have lived in Myrtle Beach for 17 years. They own Speakers International, a booking agency for professional speakers and entertainers. Both are freelance writers who have published numerous features in regional and national media.
Charlie Mitchell co-authored three annual editions of “Insider’s Guide to Golf in the Carolinas. A native of Lynchburg, Virginia, he also has extensive experience in real estate and in teaching.
Liz currently writes several blogs including Flavors of Hilton Head, Brunswick County Vacation Planning and the Beach Bytes series for away.com. She has managed marketing programs for the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday and the Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce as well as consulting for additional nonprofit and professional clients.
