Jill W. Fennel, Esq., an attorney with Thompson & Henry, P.A., has been elected president of the Horry County Bar Association.

Fennel, a well-known local attorney who has been in private practice since 2000, specializes in Serious Personal Injury, Social Security Disability, Construction Defects, Real Estate Disputes, and General Civil Litigation.

A graduate of the University of N.C., Chapel Hill, she received a B.A. in Psychology and a B.A. in Political Science. She completed her Juris Doctorate degree at the University of S.C. in 1999. Upon completing law school, Fennel enjoyed the unique privilege of serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Paula H. Thomas, prior to establishing her own firm in Myrtle Beach.

In addition to serving as president of the Horry County Bar Association, she is a member of NOSSCR (National Organization of Social Security Claimant Representatives), AAJ (American Association for Justice), and both the American and S.C. Bar Associations. In addition, Fennel serves as a mock trail competition coach for North Myrtle Beach High School Mock Trial Team.
